BIG MARLEY’S UFC FIGHT NIGHT 133 DRAFT KINGS FANTASY BREAKDOWN
This week, we have a 13-fight card in Boise, Idaho. It’s headlined by Junior Dos Santos vs Blagoy Ivanov, who is making his UFC debut. DraftKings has smaller competitions for this card since it is just a Fight Night card using lesser known name, but there’s still well over $100k to be obtained. I’ll be chasing my fair share of that money and I trust you guys will be too. Listed below are a couple plays I like this weekend and my fade of the week.
Cash Game play of this week — Alexander Volkanovski ($9,200)
I believe Volkanovski is the”safest” play on this particular card along with also his -300 betting line would agree with me. That’s where I will be starting my lineup this week and I will figure out the rest from there. Volkanovski averages 116.5 DK points through his first four UFC fights so he has a ton of upside too. He could possible score over two other winners on this card combined. I really do think he’s in drama for GPPs as well for this reason, but he will likely be the heaviest owned fighter on the card and we don’t care about ownership as much in cash games. I would suggest paying for the expensive price tag in your money games and then look for at least 3 others wins you’re confident in.
GPP drama of the week — Junior Dos Santos ($8,700)
JDS should function as way better striker inside this struggle and I think this is where the fight will occur. He can get KO’d in the opening seconds of this fight and score 0 points, but that is what makes him a GPP drama instead of a money match play. With these two Heavyweights, we need to likely find a KO inside the 25-minues and that I feel the former champion, JDS, will be the one to get it. He has good takedown defense so he should be able to keep this battle on the toes where he’ll have a 4-inch achieve advantage to work with.
Underdog play of the week — Niko Price ($7,900)
Niko will be my underdog drama of this week. The chances indicate that the fight should be fairly close and there’s a great chance he uses his wrestling to obtain the benefit. In 5 fights he hasn’t seen a decision however, and there’s a possibility it stays that way if he receives Brown into the floor. Niko has some slick submissions in his arsenal and a lot of heart. On the feet, Brown likely has the benefit with his achieve, but Cost does have any sneaky power too, which can’t be overlooked. All in all, I like this as a GPP play.
Fade of this week — Alejandro Perez ($9,100)
Perez is the 2nd most expensive fighter on this card and he’s just $100 cheaper than Volkanovski. In my view, Perez will require a end to really have a shot at paying that expensive salary and that I don’t want to invest in that, personally. He has never landed more than one takedown in a fight and Wineland has excellent takedown defense, therefore we should see this battle occur on the feet. I believe Perez needs to be the person to get his hand raised in the conclusion but I think it will be through decision. If that is the case then he can score ~60 points in a win, and also at $9.1k that is not likely to win anybody a championship. I will be full fading Perez this week and hoping he does not get the finish and he is my official fade of this week.
