BIG MARLEY’S UFC FIGHT NIGHT 141 DRAFT KINGS FANTASY BREAKDOWN

This weekend, we’ve got a 12-fight card in Beijing, China. The tournaments are a lot smaller on DraftKings this week, so I think that it’s a great week to focus more on money games. The most important GPP is the $8 entrance that pays $10K to 1st place. That is the best one to chase in my opinion. I will have a few LUs that I put into a lot of GPPs hoping I will win them all, but I will not have lots of LUs in total this week. Other than that, almost all of my play this week will probably be in the cash games. Mostly H2Hs. With that said, here are a few plays I like for UFC Beijing, as well as my fade of the week. Money Game play of the week — Song Yadong ($9,100) I believe Song Yadong could be the best play on the card that weekend and there are 4 fighters priced greater than him. Yadong is a -500 favored on Saturday and I believe that is a struggle the UFC is needing him to win in his home nation. I think in tournaments, Yadong is going to be the greatest owned fighter on the card with 3 girls fighters priced over him, with substantially smaller odds of winning ITD. I think you can create a case to fade him due to his ownership in GPPs, but in money games we don’t care about ownership. I think this is a good spot to lock at a triumph and maybe ~100-points, and then try to find 3 more wins that we can afford. More often than maybe 4 wins gets the work done in money games. GPP play of this week — Rashad Coulter ($8,400) This battle has the 2nd highest FDGTD lineup on the card in -400. There’s also worth on Hu Yaozong together with him being $600 cheaper and the betting line being nearly even. Normally when there is value like that within an underdog it makes them among the very popular fighters on the card. I don’t think either of those men are UFC level fighters, but I’m a little more impressed by what I have seen from Coulter compared to this inexperienced Yaozong. I think getting Coulter in GPP lineups in a lower ownership than Yaozong makes sense this weekend at a struggle which shouldn’t move all 3-rounds. If either of those men get an early finish they will likely be on the winning lineup. I am imagining Coulter will be the lower owned man of both and that’s what makes him my GPP drama of this week. Underdog drama of the week — Francis Ngannou ($7,500) There really aren’t many underdogs I love to aim this week for UFC Beijing. I have not loved creating lineups this week because I hate plugging in 2 underdogs when I think almost every favorite will find a win. I think the best underdog to aim this week is Francis Ngannou since he has a clear path to victory and he has already won in this matchup before. The path to victory for Ngannou is by knockout, and he has the ability in order to KO anybody on the planet. If he can get a KO at $7.5k then he probably ends upon the 1st spot lineup, particularly if it is an early KO. In the first battle between these two men Blaydes was able to receive 2 takedowns, but Ngannou managed to get up pretty quickly each time. If he is able to get up like that here, then I don’t see any way Blaydes are going to have the cardio to try and wrestle for 5-rounds. I think Ngannou is your scarier guy on the feet and I really don’t see Blaydes wanting to strike for long amounts of time. I think Ngannou is live for an upset here but onto a cardI don’t enjoy many underdogs I believe he is the best one to target with his 1st round KO upside. Fade of this week — Lauren Mueller ($9,200) I really don’t like targeting at least one of these ladies in the 9k selection. I think that they need to all get wins, but I don’t see any of them getting 10x their salary. For Mueller, she’d need at least 92 DK things to strike 10x and that I believe she has to get a conclusion to make that happen. Mueller has 5 wins her MMA record and just 1 of those wins did not go to conclusion. She also only scored 72 DK points in her UFC win. If she scores 72 at $9.2k then she won’t be winning anybody a tournament. I also think Zhang and Xiaonan have greater chances of winning than Mueller does so that’s why I chose her over both as my fade of this week. I will not be making a lot of lineups this week but when I was making 20 lineups afterward Mueller will be on zero of these.
