Dodgers vs. Marlins MLB Pick – August 14th

Even the Los Angeles Dodgers made Simple work of the Miami Marlins on Tuesday with a beatdown of 15-1.

There’s absolutely no mercy rule in Major League Baseball, but I feel the Marlins needed to throw in the towel soon following the Dodgers put together another big inning in the 9th. Despite a 11-1 guide, the Dodgers kept the beating heading with 4 more runs to money in a simple victory. Matt Beaty needed a standout night, as he led the Dodgers with 4 RBI’s at the night. Rookie Dustin May had yet another solid performance also. May allowed only 3 hits and 1-run around 5.2 innings of playwith. May isn’t going away anytime soon. He’s going to be next in line to be the next Dodgers’ superstar member of the spinning. May is the very best pitching prospect in their system and it has been clear pretty quickly in his profession. He might develop into a fairly valuable weapon to the Dodgers in the postseason. Even when he does not make the postseason rotation, the Dodgers may flip to him in the bullpen to get some outs. It’s looking as though the Dodgers will likely be using Ross Stripling in the bullpen instead of May, however. That includes Rich Hill who has been injured too. With May creating, he could observe a role as a reliever in October. That is scary to think using the luxury of Stripling and Hill from the bullpen. Clayton Kershaw was originally scheduled to pitch yesterday, but Dave Roberts gave him an excess day off to rest. It worked out superbly, as the Dodgers did not need Kershaw on Tuesday. He will get his opportunity against the Marlins today. Even the Marlins will counter with Elieser Hernandez, that hopes to halt the bleeding after having whipped around a nighttime ago. Head below to our free Dodgers vs. Marlins pick. Betting odds provided by Kershaw probably did not mind getting an extra day away and the Dodgers got a huge win out of the deal. He’ll be back at the saddle on Wednesday because the Dodgers look for much more contrary to the Marlins. With a win, the Dodgers will advance into 9-1 in their last ten matches and 81-41 on the season. Despite facing a possible letdown spot last night, the Dodgers were playing their best on Tuesday night in Miami. They’ll be in good hands with Kershaw on the bulge Wednesday. Kershaw goes into tonight having an ERA of 2.77 along with a stellar 11-2 record. He’s been even better lately, with a 2.37 ERA and perfect 3-0 record in his previous three outings. His success against the Marlins was well-documented, since he’s held them to some .156 batting average and just 1 home run in 154 at-bats. It is fairly normal for pitchers to get success against the Marlins, especially this season as they have been mostly dreadful in 2019. Miami really are 30th in the major leagues with just 3.64 runs scored per match. I would not anticipate that the Marlins to eclipse their season average in this against Kershaw. The Dodgers have just seen Eliaser Hernandez in one match for a total of 18 at-bats. They did pretty well, using a .400 OBP and 4 runs scored. Matt Beaty, that had been on fire last night, has gone deep to Hernandez. Hernandez is coming off a dominant performance across the Braves, since he gave up just 2 hits and no runs over 6 innings. I really don’t think he’s at a stage in his career in which he’s consistently likely to perform like this, though. There needs to be some regression for him here. I am not expecting another run celebration for the Dodgers tonight in Miami, but they probably give Kershaw ample conduct support to utilize. This looks like a repeat bet nighttime in Miami, using the Dodgers another solid option on the runline.
