Mets vs. Braves MLB Pick – August 15th

The Braves’ bullpen prefer to make matters interesting which was again the case Wednesday night. After building up a 6-2 lead in the 7th inning, the Braves nearly blew another lead in the 9th. It was only on Saturday that the Braves were winners after moving into the bottom of the 9th with a 6-2 lead. This time, though, that the Braves were able to hold on and secure a 6-4 win. It was not easy and Mark Melancon made matters tense with all the bases loaded and just 1 out. Despite getting into trouble, Brian Snitker stuck with Melancon and that he was able to escape the jam. Melancon is currently listed as the Braves’ closer following rookie Shane Greene. But if Melancon continues to load up the bases like that, afterward Greene is going to have another opportunity to grab the moment. If the Braves need to have success at the postseason, there isn’t much secret concerning what has to change. From the looks of this, they are likely going to be relying heavily on routine date starters from the bullpen who did not make the postseason rotation. The NL East crown is in reach, as they hold onto a lead in the division. Washington have been playing well recently, so they have managed to hold their own, but trading wins isn’t likely to assist with respect into the NL East. The Nats are also fighting to get a wildcard, which they are currently in possession of. Thursday is shaping up for a pleasant starting pitching matchup involving Marcus Stroman and Julio Teheran. Stroman is still searching for a standout performance together with the Mets. This is his third outing of his career as a Met. Head below for our free Mets vs. Braves select. Betting odds supplied by The Mets will be looking for more from Marcus Stroman down the stretch. He has not helped much thus far and has not made the Mets seem overly glowing moving after him. Yeah, the Mets went on a monster 16-1 conduct, but has nothing to do with all the Stroman deal. In any event, the Mets have won both of Stroman’s starts. He might have pitched better, however. Between his first two excursions with the Mets, Stroman has submitted an ERA of all both 6.10 at 10.1 innings of work. He allowed 7 earned runs, together with 16 hits and 5 walks in these innings. So, while Stroman gets a free pass so far, especially after the Mets won the two matches, he must be greater than that to make the trade worthwhile. The Braves are hitting .280 using a .337 OBP against Stroman at 82 at-bats. On the opposite side, the Mets have a very long history against Teheran within his profession. The Mets will eclipse 400 at-bats from Teheran inside this contest. Back in 399 at-bats, they hit .216 together with 10 home runs. Getting to Teheran in the home hasn’t been simple for visiting teams. Teheran owns an ERA of 2.52 at 60.2 innings of basketball in Atlanta. He’s yielded only 5 long balls at home in 2019 as well. Note that Teheran has enabled two or less runs in seven of the last outings, and has not given up more than 3 runs since June 24th from the Cubs in Wrigley Field. In his most recent look against the Mets, the Braves were champions by a score of 5-4. We are seeing what is happening to the Mets now that they must play a winning team. During their 15-1 run, the only team they beat with a list more than .500 were the Nationals, who they finally had their winning streak snapped against. Teheran and the Braves seem just like the perfect side here for a second win on the Mets.
